Earning knockout ratings for his first week as host of the new "Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon's debut appearance raked in 8.490 million viewers, making it the franchise?s most-watched week in 20 years!
"The Tonight Show" has not seen such success since the finale of "Cheers," from May 17th-21st of 1993, bringing in 9.080 million, and all five telecasts have followed the Olympics presentations, with four of the five airing at midnight.
Jimmy's Friday (February 21) episode, featured pop superstar Justin Timberlake, and the duo performed a hip-hop rendition of "Rap History Five."
Friday night ended Jimmy's first week at the helm of "The Tonight Show" on a high note, and we can rest assured that more stars, more music, more laughs and higher ratings are in store!
