Ke$ha's Mom Talks About What Caused Daughter's Eating Disorder

Stepping up to defend her daughter once again from the harsh criticism, Ke$ha's mother shines some light on what really caused her little girl to become bulimic.

During an interview with People magazine, Pepe Sebert accused her daughter's producer Dr. Luke and former manager David Sonenberg of being partially responsible for the pop singer's struggles.

"One time on a conference call, Sonenberg was screaming, 'You need to lose weight! I don't care what you do... take drugs, not eat, stick your finger down your throat!" Pepe explained. "Ke$ha was just weeping. She drove around afterwards thinking about killing herself."

Miss Sebert went on to say Dr. Luke was also "very disrespectful" when it came to Ke$sha's weight. "He'd say it in certain ways, like 'Why don't you try running?' She was doing everything and not getting thin fast enough, and that's when she first became bulimic."

The "Die Young" hitmaker's mother also revealed her daughter's body became in such bad shape that her heath began to fail. "The doctors told me her blood pressure and sodium levels were so low. They'd never seen it that low except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead on stage."

"I've watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight to the point that she almost died," she added.

Meanwhile, David and Dr. Luke have both denied being involved in the 26-year-old singer's issues, and the producer even slammed Pepe's accusations by stating, "It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
