Stepping out to show off their latest work, the cast of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" were on hand for the film's Hollywood premiere on Monday night (December 2).
Taking their turn on the red carpet, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly and Benedict Cumberbatch obliged the paparazzi stationed outside the TCL Chinese Theatre before heading inside.
Directed by Peter Jackson, the adventure fantasy flick is described as follows: The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring.
"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" arrives in theaters nationwide on Friday, December 13.
