Looking to make it three in a row, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" is on track to once again take the box office for the Christmas holiday of December 25-29, 2013.
The fantasy adventure, which boasts a cast that includes Orlando Bloom is looking towards a five day total take of $50 million.
After falling to third place last week, Disney's animated adventure "Frozen" will regain second place with an estimated $43.1 million.
Rounding out the top five in earmarked earnings are "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" starring Will Ferrell ($37.2 million) in third, Leonardo DiCaprio'snewcomer "The Wolf of Wall Street" ($35.2 million) in fourth, and American Hustle" starring Jennifer Lawrence ($33.6 million) in fifth.
