She may have trespassed and lit a fire in somebody's driveway, but Amanda Bynes will not be charged criminally for the dangerous incident on Monday (July 22).
According to TMZ, prosecutors have decided not to charge her with any criminal offense, and instead decided that mental help treatment is the proper course.
After the bizarre event, the troubled former Nickelodeon star was placed on a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold by sheriff's deputies.
Speaking about the process, Ventura County Sheriff's Captain Don Aguilar explained, "If someone is having a behavioral issue and they can't care for themselves, then we step in and we try to give them assistance they need to get them going in the right direction."
