Usher Says The World 'Deserves' An Usher/Adele Collaboration

'Unfortunately, she's the closest to breaking my record for the last 10 years,' singer says of Adele catching up with his chart record.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> has a confession to make. He really loves <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/adele/artist.jhtml">Adele</a>, even if she's threatening his position as an album-sales record holder. "If I have to confess, I have to confess that I have told a few people not to go and buy Adele's album because I don't want her to go and break my record," he joked to <a href="http://www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/usher/view/43207/" target="_blank">Capital FM</a> in the U.K. The 21 singer's record-setting album has come close to beating the record held by his own album Confessions for <a href="/news/articles/1676522/adele-usher-best-sales-record.jhtml">most albums sold in one year</a>. "No, actually, I love her. Unfortunately, she's the closest to breaking my record for the last 10 years. So now, guys, don't go and buy that album right now." But if he can't beat her, he'll join her. He hinted in the same interview that he would love the chance to collaborate with the broken-hearted songstress. "I think the world deserves an <a href="http://www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/usher/view/43230/" target="_blank">Usher and Adele record</a>," he said. "That's what I think." Well, Usher will get his chance to prove his chart dominance once again when he drops his new album later this year. He's currently out promoting its lead single, the sexy, sultry, Diplo-produced <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/02/16/usher-diplo-climax-love-affair-song/">"Climax."</a> The singer released a video for the track earlier this month. The sexy clip follows two lovers engaged in a hot, steamy love affair. Usher wrestles with the ramifications of their relationship, pondering it all in his car, with a gun not far away. Leading to the video's climax, Usher watches his lady with her other man, then runs in the house, fires off his gun and runs away. Viewers are left wondering if it was nothing more than a daydream as the video ends with the singer once again sitting in his car, still reflecting, as he pulls away from the supposed crime scene.

First Look: International Posters for 'Snow White and the Huntsman'

Ke$ha Is Channeling 'Sexiness' Of '70s Rock For New Album

Glitter-heavy pop star tells MTV News she's going for 'balls-out, irreverent rock and roll.'

<a href="/music/artist/_kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>'s already got the face paint down pat, and, during recent live sets, she's even taken to <a href="http://www.popeater.com/2011/03/17/kesha-drinks-blood-during-performance" target="_blank">guzzling blood</a> out of a human heart, so it should come as no surprise that, on her upcoming album, the pop star is taking things back to the most theatrical era of rock: the prop-heavy, arena-spanning heyday of the 1970s. Ke$h revealed her plans over the weekend in Los Angeles, on the red carpet of KIIS FM's annual <a href="/news/articles/1663909/wango-tango-britney-spears-kesha.jhtml">Wango Tango</a> concert, where she told MTV News that the follow-up to her breakout Animal album (and, we suppose, <a href="/news/articles/1652714/kehas-cannibal-a-cheat-sheet.jhtml">Cannibal</a> too) would be heavy on hard riffs and light on pretty much everything else. <div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid:652875" width="240" height="211"></div> "The next album ... I've been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it's gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," she said. "I've been pretty much in this '70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it." So, does that mean that fans can expect the likes of Alice Cooper or Peter Frampton to show up on her new album? Perhaps. Because while Ke$ha's new album is still a ways off, she's already begun calling in favors, hoping to line up a killer collabo for the new disc. "I'm trying, trust me," she laughed. As promised, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> and her boys Lil Wayne, T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Andre 3000 dropped a new <a href="/news/articles/1672529/lil-wayne-kesha-ti-wiz-khalifa-remix.jhtml">remix of "Sleazy"</a> on Tuesday (December 13). <div class="player-placeholder right" title="MTV News Extended Play: Ke$ha" id="id:1661961" width="240" height="211"></div> The Bangladesh-produced song originally appeared on K-Dollar's 2010 <a href="/news/articles/1651081/keha-gets-sleazy-on-new-cannibal-track.jhtml">Cannibal album</a> before a <a href="/news/articles/1656039/andre-3000-pops-up-on-kehas-sleazy-remix.jhtml">remix featuring Andre</a> popped up earlier this year. The latest version of the song is available for purchase and is all over blogs like <a href="http://www.rap-up.com/2011/12/12/new-music-kesha-f-wiz-khalifa-andre-3000-ti-lil-wayne-sleazy-remix/" target="_blank">Rap-Up.com</a>. The song gets a bit dirtier and introspective thanks to verses from the guys that play up the track's bumping beat. Wiz kicks it off, rapping about designer clothes and his lady love, Amber Rose. "OK, I'm young and I'm tatted/ I get them bucks like an addict/ Rocking this Christian Dior/ I spend so much on my fabric/ I got a wifey at home/ And what she wants she can have it," he spits before going on about chilling on the beach, being rich and his prowess in the bedroom. Sitting in between Wiz and Tip is Andre's recycled verse, before T.I. gets his shot and gets sexy, asking Ke$ha, "Do you know what to do with me?" before he launches into a verse all about how good he is to the ladies. "Bad bitches know me/ So don't bother introducing me/ They want me more than diamonds," he brags before explaining that it has a lot to do with his impressive anatomy. Wayne closes it out, adding his own signature flair. "We be on that sh-- that no one be on/ That's what we on/ Smoke that neon, Kings of Leon/ Dynamite, Napoleon/ Got some skinnies and a tee on/ And some Vans," he rhymes about his famous sense of Weezy-fied style before the song circles back to the funky chorus, where Ke$ha declares that she doesn't "need you or your brand-new Benz/ Or your bougie friends/ I don't need love lookin' like diamonds/ Lookin' like diamonds." If any of K's fans or critics were wondering if she has the swagger to chill with the guys, she displayed some of her sass when she <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/KESHASUXX" target="_blank">tweeted</a> about the remix. "Question ANIMALS ... who can say they got with Lil Wayne, T.I., Andre 3000 and Wiz Khalifa on a f---ing hot track??" she asked. "ill give u one clue ... Its $." Pop star tweets standard and deluxe album covers for June 19 release, cryptically telling fans, 'expect the unexpected.'

Judging by the cover art for Justin Bieber's Believe album, the 18-year-old pop star is well aware of one of his best assets: his boyish good looks. The cover, which Bieber tweeted on Friday evening (April 27), is simply a black-and-white close-up of his face with the word "BELIEVE" stamped in a yellow caution-tape font underneath.

"Here is the #BELIEVEalbumCover standard version," he tweeted, followed by a second tweet that included a sepia-toned version of the same image: "and this is the DELUXE #BELIEVEalbumCover - #52DAYS - excited? expect the unexpected."

After posting the Believe album cover on Friday, Bieber retweeted one fan's over-the-top reaction to the artwork: "That awkward moment when I almost ran over a lady and hit the car in front of me cuz I saw the #BELIEVEAlbumCover lololol," @julieannxoxo wrote.

Bieber just revealed the June 19 Believe release date last week on "The Voice," also bringing along a teaser from his yet-unreleased "Boyfriend" video. Even after revealing that sneak peek, Bieber was spotted shooting new scenes for the highly anticipated video, kissing a mystery brunette (hey, that's not Selena!) on set.

"The concept of this video, I mean, it's not like a steady concept," Bieber told MTV News while shooting the video back in March. "It's not like 'Justin follows this girl to this spot.' No, it's a bunch of amazing scenes: like a fire scene, we have an ice scene.

"It's kind of like bouncing back and forth," he said. "And then there's scenes of me and just a bunch of girl dancers, and just some great shots, great artistic shots, great shots of me smiling. It's fun."
